Biotope Turtle KH plus is based on the carbon cycle and not on using phosphates, making it a Phosphate free product
Biotope Turtle KH plus is a blend of carbonates and bicarbonates, when added to the aquarium they will react with carbon dioxide, this reaction will convert the free carbon dioxide gas into a chemical compound carbonic acid and stabilize the pH at 7.50.
We recommend a KH of 5 degrees for the average Turtle aquarium or pond, this level will set the pH at 7.50, however pH can also be influenced by other factors, the number of Turtles, water changes, aquatic plants.
Most Turtle aquariums and ponds with a KH of 5 degrees will have pH 7.50.
