The Aquarium Factory maintains layby in accordance with consumer law.
You can layby purchases within our store and spread payments over a number of weeks. To establish a lay by you must pay a 10% deposit and a $5 non-refundable service fee. Laybys are available for up to a 12 week period (unless otherwise agreed upon with management) and regular payments must be made.
You can make payments towards you layby over the phone or within our store.
You can collect your purchase as soon as you have paid in full for the layby. Purchases must be collected by the layby finalisation date being 12 weeks from your purchase. Photo identification is required when collecting your purchase.
Cancellation by you; laybys can be cancelled by you at any time during the term, in which case you will be entitled to a refund of the amount you have paid, less a termination fee which is 5% of the total purchase (in addition to the $5 non-refundable service fee). You will need identification with you when cancelling a layby and the refund will only be processed in the manner of your original payments.
Cancellation for non-payment or non-collection; it is your responsibility to make regular payments and collect your purchases by the due date. Failure to do this will be treated as cancellation of the layby. The Aquarium Factory is not required to contact you before cancelling a layby for non-payment or non-collection. If your layby is cancelled, you will be entitled to a refund for the amount you have paid, less a termination fee of 5% of the total purchase (in addition to the $5 non-refundable service fee)
Layby is not available for online purchases. Layby contents cannot be modified. You may change your contact details or request a replacement layby receipt provided you present photo identification.
